Darla Wigginton, a versatile singing actress, has been credited with “vocal refinement and genuine comic timing” and a “rich and dramatic mezzo-soprano” by the San Francisco Chronicle. She has sung with the opera companies of Portland, Connecticut, Illinois, San Jose, Sacramento, Eugene, as well as with Theatreworks, George Coates, and American Opera Projects. Anja Strauss was born and raised in Germany before moving to the US in 2000 to complete her post-graduate degree at the Juilliard School in New York City. Since then she has performed at venues like Weill Hall/Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and with opera companies such as Sacramento Opera, San Francisco Lyric, Lamplighter Theatre and Pacific Repertoire Opera. Her tremendously diverse repertoire ranges from opera, lied, oratorio and concert works to new music and German songs from the Weimar era.
